ROGER CRAMER, POTTER-PRIEST
"I have always loved the feel of clay, how liquid it is, supple, willing to be played with, shaped, glazed with organic colors, inviting intimacy with their beholder, the person who uses them on a daily basis. I came to pottery as a young person, graduated to a love of art and the tactile quality of clay. Gave it a place in my life while I also studied to be an Episcopal priest. Have held both in tension over years as my passions swung one way then another, and always the broader spirituality of both. And now I have landed with my hand in the clay and the beauty it can hold."
